Helium (He) is a chemical element with atomic number 2. It is the second most abundant element in the universe, after hydrogen.

Helium belongs to a group of very unreactive chemical elements called noble gases.

The speed of sound is significantly faster in helium than in the normal air we breathe, and therefore our voices get distorted after breathing in helium.
