Nickel (Ni) is a metallic chemical element with atomic number 28. There are several naturally occurring Nickel isotopes, but the most abundant one is ⁵⁸Ni, with 28 protons and 30 neutrons.

Nickel is mainly used in stainless steel alloys, but the metal also has a history of being used in coins, famously giving name to the American 5-cent coin.
