Technetium (Tc) is a chemical element with atomic number 43. It is only found in nature in extremely small amounts. Rather, it is produced during nuclear fission of uranium, and extracted as a byproduct from nuclear reactors.

Technetium is sometimes used in medicine for radioactive imaging, to analyse various organs within the body.
