Nobelium (No) is a synthetic chemical element with atomic number 102. It is the fourteenth element in the actinide series, located at the bottom of the period table.
Nobelium is named in honor of the Swedish chemist Alfred Nobel, who in the 1860s invented dynamite and later went on to establish the Nobel Prize.
